WHAT IS THIS?
Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the 40-day period called the Lenten Season, which is a time of spiritual preparation before Easter. During Lent, Christians take time to reflect, pray and ask God for forgiveness. The whole purpose is to set time aside to consider Jesus Christ's suffering and His sacrifice, His life, death, burial, and resurrection. The Lenten Season ends with Holy Week or Passion Week on the Saturday before Resurrection Day or Easter Sunday. This year, Resurrection Day (Easter Sunday) will be observed on Sunday, April 5, 2026.
WHEN SHOULD I ATTEND?
The Ash Wednesday service will be on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 7:00 pm. You can attend the Ash Wednesday worship service just like you would attend our normal Wednesday Night Bible Study.
